Just Go

Before I was 27, though living within 30 minutes of the beach my entire life, I rarely ever went. Like once every 2 or 3 years.

I used to follow very close to my Dad’s footprints of working hard and staying close to home. Though that lifestyle is honorable, and it works for him, it is not the lifestyle I was meant to live. I struggled with severe anxiety and depression from an early age all the way up until age 27 when I started to grow and become my real self.

The me that began to explore and see things around me. The me that decided to work to live and not to live to work anymore. The more I explored the more I realized it served me. I shook free of my lifelong battle with stress, anxiety and depression. I now teach others how to break free of theirs.

As I walk on the beach with my family, I reflect on all the things I am thankful for. I take my shoes off and let the earth touch my feet. I try to be present and really feel the beautiful gift God (Grand Overall Designer) has given us with this whole nature thing!

A week or so back, we were in the middle of the country far from an ocean, so we took our shoes off and walked through a stream.

If you are stressed, anxious or depressed one of the greatest tools at your disposal is to get out in nature. Find a way to get your body moving and connect in nature. Take off your shoes and feel the earth on your feet.

Moments like this will make a huge impact in your overall quality of life!
